    • Level 1 King County Green School
      St. Bernadette School was awarded Level 1 Green School status through the King County Green Schools Program for our recycling and waste reduction efforts.  Thank you to our student green team, Mr. Jensen, Jenna Smith and Kelsi Franzen for helping us achieve this status!  Our school was presented with a certificate of achievement, a school banner and a new web icon shown on the right hand side of this page.     • From Strength to Strength: A Strategic Plan for 21st Century Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of Seattle
      On February 11th, Archbishop Sartain approved the strategic plan for strengthening the mission of Catholic schools, which was developed through a year-long process in 2013, with the assistance of ACE Consulting of Notre Dame. The plan, keyed to the four themes of our mission, contains 33 actions and 124 tasks. The plan is inspired by the importance and the great gift of our 74 Catholic schools!  Click here to view the document.

        October is the month of the Rosary! All 4th-8th grade students are invited to participate in our student rosary group every Tuesday during the month of October. We will be meeting in the Chapel at 12:30PM. Please encourage your child to participate!

        Bring a bottle of wine to conferences to add to the wine cellar for this year's auction - Up, Up & Away!. Last year the wine cellar sold for more than $450.00 thanks to everyone's wine donations and support! Drop the wine by the office the evening of your conference. It will be collected from the office each evening. Thank you for your support of this year's auction.

        Class Project Volunteers: Please deliver completed class projects to the school the afternoon of Oct. 21st on before Noon on Oct. 22nd. This will ensure that they are in the classrooms for conferences. To all the class project parent volunteers, thank you! Your hard work makes all the difference and the kids really appreciate you taking the time to help them put a project together that they can be proud of ~

        Parent Teacher Conferences begin on October 22nd. Please refer to your scheduled day and time. If forgotten, please contact the school office. Evening conferences are available only on October 22nd and 23rd. Our Scholastic Book Fair will be taking place in the Library during conferences. Parents and students are welcome to come in and shop for books. Teacher book wish lists will be available for those interested in supporting specific classrooms. Profits collected from this sale will help support our school library.

        Holy Names Academy and O'Dea High School representatives, including current students, will be on campus to share school information with our 8th grade students. Welcome Cougars and Fighting Irish!
      • Oct 30, 2014
        Students may come to school in free dress in exchange for $1.00 or 2 cans of food. Money collected will help support our sister school in Guatemala, San Jose Pacul and non-perishable foods will be donated to our St. Vincent de Paul Conference to help support local families in need. Students are encouraged to wear Halloween colors; however, costumes, props, hair color or make-up are not allowed.
