Sixth Grade / MS Language Arts and Literature

Mr. Cris de Guzman II  is the the ELA teacher for  Grades 6th, 7th, and 8th. He was born and raised in Seattle. He went to Holy Family School and St. Bernadette (Class of 2013) . He attended O’Dea High School and graduated in 2017. He was a member of the O’Dea Wrestling Team for 4 years. A highlight during his junior year was when he participated at the WIAA State Tournament. It was during his years at O’Dea that inspired him to pursue a career in education. In May 2021, Mr. de Guzman graduated from the University of Portland with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education, Major in History. While at UP, he was an active member of the Filipino American Student Association (FASA). Upon graduation, he started his teaching career at St. George Parish School as a Learning Support Specialist and as a 5th Grade Religion Teacher. His interests are cooking, baking, traveling, reading and writing poetry.
