Mrs. Melissa Vidal-MacKay is our 8th Grade Homeroom and Middle School Language Arts teacher. She brings nearly twenty years of experience as an educator and school leader in independent and international schools. Most recently, she served as Director of Grades 2–7 at The Quarry Lane School in California.

Mrs. Vidal-MacKay is passionate about language arts and enjoys helping students grow as confident readers, thoughtful writers, and engaged thinkers. She values strong relationships, clear communication, and creating a classroom environment where students feel supported and challenged.

Her commitment to Catholic education is shaped by her own Catholic schooling and a strong foundation in service and community. She is excited to be part of the St. Bernadette community and to work closely with students, families, and colleagues.

Outside of school, Mrs. Vidal-MacKay enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, reading, hiking, and exploring the Pacific Northwest.
